James joined the Board of the LANZBC in 2017 and is the Technical Tour Manager with Farm To Farm Tours, based in Rangiora. The company is solely involved in technical tourism associated with the primary sector.
An important part of the business is sending groups of Kiwis interested in agribusiness to South America (mainly Chile, Argentina and Brazil) every year. Farm to Farm Tours also host groups in New Zealand from countries in that region such as Colombia, Brazil and Uruguay. James is keen to help build stronger relationships between New Zealand and Latin America to assist the agri-tech sector here through exposure to potentially large Latin American markets. He believes there will be additional benefits for the primary sector in South America through uptake of management systems and services from New Zealand providers.
James is keen to grow the profile, membership and activity of the organisation further in the South Island.
James has previously owned a farming and consulting business, been General Manager of a seed export business, lectured in Strategic Management at Lincoln University, and completed a co-operative governance course. He is a member of the NZ Institute of Primary Industry Management.Back
