Air New Zealand Gas Turbines
Air New Zealand is a General authorised level 4 depot repairing and overhauling GE Model LM2500 and LM5000 gas turbines. Air New Zealand’s involvement with LM Series engines began in 1981 and is still going strong today, 31 years later. From a workshop area of 100 square meters and a staff of six people, the business has grown to a complement of 134 staff dedicated to marine and industrial LM engine repair and overhaul, operating out of a 4900 square meter workshop.
Air New Zealand has established a strong reputation in the market place for quality and customer service. Since a restructure in May 2006 which saw the business focus exclusively on marine and industrial product under its own ANZGT brand, the company has gained the respect and confidence of a world-wide customer base and unprecedented support of the OEM.
The marine and industrial market is competitive and ANZGT has built a strong reputation through specialisation in onsite maintenance (field service), spare parts supply, technical support, and high quality repair and overhaul of the GE LM2500 & LM5000 marine and industrial gas turbines. Four other OEM authorised repair and overhaul facilities provide aggressive competition offering these services to a wide, varied and cost conscious customer base. ANZGT is well placed to compete in this arena. Its 31 years of industry experience have earned an excellent reputation for quality and service at competitive rates. This has resulted in ANZGT attracting and retaining quality customers worldwide despite the strong global competition and ANZGT’s geographic location in the South Pacific.
Air New Zealand (ANZGT) has had a long relationship with customers in the Latin America region going back almost 30 years, commencing with the leasing and support of 2 DC10 aircraft to Lan Chile in the mid 1980s Air New Zealand currently provides ongoing support for the Chilean Navy’s P3 Orion aircraft. In the M&I market ANZGT supported Pemex (Mexico) with several LM2500 repairs and overhauls and has established an excellent relationship with an LM5000 power generation plant in Cartagena, Colombia, and is now their preferred provider. ANZGT is also in active discussion with several other potential customers in South America within the commercial marine, navy, power generation, oil and gas sectors.Visit Website Back
