Ana Azevedo

Executive Officer

Ana Azevedo is a firm believer that cultural understanding, reciprocity and long-term people to people relationships are the basis for a more equitable international education sector that can positively impact individuals and societies.

Ana has over 16 years of experience in building and fostering international partnerships and collaboration with a strong focus on creating connections between Latin America and Oceania. She is very interested in skills transfer, knowledge transfer, languages, and cultural idiosyncrasies.

Previous to living in New Zealand, Ana represented Education New Zealand Manapou ki te Ao (ENZ), the New Zealand Government agency for international education, for 12 years in Brazil. During this time, she worked with stakeholders in Latin America countries leading the development of strategic relationships in the international education sector, developing, and managing government relations, academic engagement and business development between countries. Experienced in both strategic and operational aspects of building global connections, Ana has hosted and led delegations including business and education leaders, ministers, and prime ministers.

Ana has lived in Argentina, Australia, Spain and New Zealand and she is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English, holding an International Executive MBA. She believes international relations has a major role in building mutually beneficial relationships between nations and true understanding between people and cultures.
